Juliet approaches ceramics as an open and continually evolving medium, driven by experimentation, curiosity and a desire to push the material beyond conventional boundaries. Her practice is grounded in the skills developed through her formal studies in ceramics, while her ongoing experimentation has led her to develop distinctive techniques and approaches to the medium.

Her process often involves combining ceramics with other materials and processes. One example is her technique of etching directly from metal etching plates into delicate porcelain clay, creating unexpected textures and impressions within the surface.

The assembly of ceramic elements—both as sculptural forms and within larger mixed-media works—is often integral to the concept of the artwork.

While the emphasis of Juliet’s ceramic practice is predominantly sculptural, it also encompasses a collection of functional ceramic works.
